On
Wednesday, August 20th at 10am, Thursday, August 21st at 1pm and Saturday,
August
23rd at 10am, at
our Story
Time we will read
"The Lost Ears".
“ONCE UPON A TIME…there lived a teddy bear named Harry, who was only two
and a half inches tall.” All the best stories begin with magical words!
After living a happy if uneventful life in his owner’s pajama pocket, tiny
Harry has a big adventure: he’s accidentally put in the washing machine
and drenched, spun, and hung out to dry. Even worse, he has lost his ears!
Now poor Harry’s kept in a dark drawer with all the other broken toys. Only
the kindness of a little girl might set him free again… The
kids will paint a teddy bear today. The total cost is $10.00 - there is
no charge for a sitting fee for this class. Pre-registration is recommended.
856-833-1330. The session should last about an hour.
If
your child wants to paint a second piece after Story Time, we will charge
a reduced sitting fee of $4.00 (instead of $6.00) to cover the use of paints,
tools, the glazing and firing.

"The Runaway Pumpkin".
When Buck, Billy, and their little sister Lil spy the biggest pumpkin they've
ever seen, they can't resist. Buck and Billy try to roll the pumpkin down
the hill to show everyone, but it's too big! Before they know it, it's bumping
and thumping and rolling out of control down the hillside. It busts through
Momma Baxter's sty and makes her think of pumpkin pie. It knocks over Grandpa
Baxter and makes him think of pumpkin soup. And when Poppa Baxter finally
stops it in a pumpkin bed, all he can think of is pumpkin bread. The
kids will paint a pumpkin today. The total cost is $10.00 - there is no
charge for a sitting fee for this class. Pre-registration is recommended.

As
always, you can stop in and make an Empty
Bowl for the benefit of
the Food Bank of South Jersey.
For those of you who haven't heard of this project yet, with your donation
of $8.00 you can paint a soup bowl that is normally priced between $13.00
and $15.00. We are donating the paints, glazing and firing costs of the
bowls. Your sitting fee is waived and the bowl is donated to the
Food Bank of South Jersey.
The Food
Bank then turns around
and sells the bowls for $10.00 to $15.00 which is pure profit for them
and they are thrilled! The bowls are a symbol of our hungry neighbors
who face empty bowls on a daily basis and as a reminder of the Food
Bank's continuing efforts
to fill them. As our thanks for your support, you can stay and paint another
piece at regular cost but your sitting fee is on us, so you can't lose
with this one. This free sitting is available only if you can stay and
paint another piece at that same time. Please call us to make a reservation
to paint your "empty bowls".
Bring in your Church Group or your Scout Troop, your Mother's Group
or all of your Grandchildren and paint a bowl for the benefit of the
Food Bank of South Jersey.
AVAILABLE BOOKING TIMES FOR SCOUT TROOPS
