In early
1997, Pam OBrien was more than ready to leave her 25+ year career in the
insurance industry and try something creative.
Her
daughter, Kimberley Raiguel, was living in Salisbury, MD and was directing a
live newscast at a local ABC affiliate station. Pam had heard of the new trend of pottery
painting and in April paid a visit to a studio in Pennsylvania, the only studio
in our area at that time. Six months later, Pam, with the help of
husband Pat & daughter Kim, opened

A family
owned business, our only priority is to make your visit to our studio a pleasant
and memorable time. We've been
open since October 1997 and were still having fun. The best part of this
business is the people who frequent our lives. We have made many new friends
since we opened our doors. They become part of our family. Our staff is family
too. Tina started with us the fall of 2001 and has become family. Tina was promoted
last fall to Assistant Manager of
She truly acts more like one of the owners than an employee with her deep concern
and care of our business. She has always mothered all of us and so she will
be a natural at helping our company grow at our new location in Collingswood.
Dana is now in her junior year at Albright College and happens to be the daughter
of my former employer. What a great feeling to have her and her family back
in my life! Dana returns every summer, Christmas and spring break to help
us out and we miss her a lot while she is away. Terry, a customer since we opened,
joined us January 2005. She loves her job and works so hard. She tells us she
is never leaving! Becky, a student at Camden Catholic, joined us in December
2005 and has kept her head way above water even on the busiest of days. We are
thrilled that she has joined us! She'll be heading off to Georgetown in the
fall but promises to work on her breaks. We will miss her while she is at school.
Julia joined us this past fall. She is a high school senior at Collingswood
High this year. She works very hard and takes pride in her work. Tina's daughter
Catherine has been coming in to help her Mom on busy days since she was little.
She recently turned 16 and has officially joined the crew at
and
we are thrilled to have her. We continue to be blessed as all of our employees
are wonderful additions to ![]()
But
our best addition so far has been my granddaughter and Kim's daughter, Ryleigh
Daisy. She is such a happy child - we love having her with us in
the studio. She is one of our best painters already. She loves to paint and
even as young as she is, she is so excited when her pieces come out of the kiln
all shiny and pretty. She starts kindergarten this fall and so is not spending
quite as much time at the studio. But she comes in after school ready to tell
us about her day while she eats her after school snack. Lately she has taken
to setting up a "stand" with her "artwork" and is trying
to sell it to our customers for a nickel, $10.00 or even a kleenex. She will
definitely barter with you. A little entrepreneur in training! She loves to
help set up tables for customers or help in any way that she is allowed. You'll
find all of our staff helpful and friendly and oh, so patient. We love our jobs
and we love our customers!
